Weight Loss Home Remedies
When looking at weight loss home remedies AND success stories of USING home remedies for weight loss, there is one simple, common factor that keeps popping up. It is a remedy so simple (and inexpensive) that most folks just pass it by.
Have you ever thought about WATER for weight loss?
...drink water... drink LOTS of water...water helped me lose weight....etc, etc This is what I keep reading on weight loss success stories.

Sometimes we forget the most SIMPLE and easy to do home remedies for losing weight. Part of the reason is because we want something that works FAST and OVERNIGHT to lose the flab, when in reality CHANGING the WAY we eat and drink will produce much more long term effects.
I do agree though that if you want to lose weight quickly for a special event like a wedding or something, you can always try one of these:
I know because I have DONE that. I can lose about ten pounds in two weeks with the HCG diet if I need to. But for anything long term, your best bet is still doing the simple things like drinking lots of water and working out.
Drinking AT LEAST half your body weight in ounces of water a day has been proven to do a number of things, such as:
- Get rid of water weight ... yep, that means you will pee a lot those first few days, but gradually your body gets used to the greater intake of water and adjusts itself.
Sure you will have to go the bathroom more often overall, but that only means you are keeping your system cleaner and fresher!
- Keeps flus and sickness at bay... you will not catch NEARLY as many flu bugs and viruses as you keep your body flushed on a daily basis.
- Water intake for weight loss... which is the BIGGEST for many of us to carry that water bottle around and make it our companion for life.
- Gives you more energy.. but that's because you are feeling better due to your body being cleaner!
Water Drinking Tip: Keep a 28 or 32 oz water bottle at your side at all times. It seems to be much easier to drink enough water that way versus grabbing a glass at the sink.
The other common weight loss home remedies include things such as:
- Cutting WAY back on carbs and sugar... you can still have some but as a whole we Americans eat WAY too many carbs and sugar.
Don't believe me?
Just try denying your body of ALL carbs for a day! Your body will soon inform you that it's VERY addicted to carbs!
- Exercising... walking, jogging, even doing jumping jacks for five minutes in your living room is doing more than 90% of folks out there.
Many times we think we are busy and hectic and don't need to exercise but the truth of the matter is that our rate never gets elevated to the point it needs to in order to burn the calories needed to shed the weight.
- Eat more OFTEN... I was watching the "Biggest Loser" the other week and they say one of the FIRST thing they have to convince most of their contestants to do is to EAT MORE OFTEN...eating less but more often, they said will keep your metabolism working the best.

Funny how we think, the less we eat the more we lose.
It works if you do it long enough, but the more healthy way is to eat HEALTHIER foods and more often.
There are some other great weight loss home remedies such as drinking apple cidar vinegar after every meal, or drinking water with lemon for weight loss, but try drinking half a gallon of water for about a month and see what happens!☺
